HELLO

As we approach the cooler months and the weather begins to turn, it is the most crucial time to ensure you take a little time to look after yourself. With busy day's ahead whether it is work, family, friends, volunteering or however your week pans out, it can be full on as the summer days begin to feel a distant memory.
Since University back in 2012 I have been intrigued of how the body functions & exercise has a great impact on our physical, mental and social wellbeing. Especially as more gets thrown our way in life, it calls even more for little moments for ourselves.
STRESS LOWERING & IMMUNE BOOSTING
YOGA ASANAS
Child's Pose
This posture stretches the back, hips & thighs as well as deeper breathing from the diaphragm, which activates the parasympathetic nervous system "rest-and-digest" the opposite of the commonly known "fight-or-flight". It improves circulation and helps release tension in the body, reducing stress supporting immune health.

Downward Facing Dog
Downward facing dog engages the core, arms, legs & spine activating deeper breathing, improving circulation & stimulating the lymphatic system relieving stress. Greater mental clarity can be gained from this posture
